The curved-edge pitched-blade impeller is designed for use at the bottom of dished or elliptical vessel heads. Its curved edge profile conforms to the vessel bottom and can accommodate the installation of bottom bearings or rising-stem discharge valves. It is suitable for dissolution, crystallization, solid-liquid suspension with high solids content, and can act as a bottom scraper when handling high-viscosity materials. It is typically used in multi-stage combinations with other impellers at low speed.
